Albany Med Health System’s new Office of Translational Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer (OTR) brings together the BACC’s commercialization and entrepreneurship support services together with the College’s translational research and technology transfer efforts, ultimately enhancing the services and support available to Albany Med and the region as a whole. The OTR immerses entrepreneurs into an environment of support where they can refine their technology, gain access to a variety of resources and facilities, and connect with the right people who can help grow their businesses. The OTR continues the BACC’s legacy of working closely with partners throughout the region to help foster innovation in our local communities and universities. Through OTR-sponsored events such as the Clinical Immersion Program, Bioinnovation Bootcamp (formerly BACC Academy), and Innovation Seminars, Albany Med is creating new learning opportunities for individuals and organizations. The OTR is firmly committed to helping the region’s great minds transform their biomedical business ideas into truly viable, thriving, and visionary ventures.
